Suchan Kim (Baritone), a native of Busan, South Korea, recently sang the title role in Bare Opera’s production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. He has performed as a resident in San Francisco Opera’s Merola Opera Program as well as with The Metropolitan Opera Education, The Metropolitan Opera Guild, Carnegie Hall, Mannes Opera, Dallas Opera’s The Hart Institute for Women Conductors, Sarasota Opera, Opera in Williamsburg, Bare Opera, Opera Vezimra, New Rochelle Opera, Teatro Grattacielo, New Amsterdam Opera, Loft Opera, Opera Ithaca, Barn Opera, Amore Opera, Boardwalk Opera, Sinfonietta of Riverdale, The New York Concert Opera, New York Grand Opera, New York Lyric Opera, Fairfield County Chorale, Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York, Sign & Sing, NYU IMPACT Conference, MidAmerica Productions, National Theater of Korea, Seoul Arts Center and several opera companies in South Korea.

He was an Eastern District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2011 and he received the Opera Award from Mannes Opera in 2013. Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Music from Korea National University of Arts and a Master’s Degree and a Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes College, the New School for Music. He studies with Arthur Levy.

French-Italian pianist Laetitia Ruccolo is a co-founder of the company Bare Opera and the original musical director of LoftOpera in Brooklyn. She was a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London for the 15/16 season, and she has been in residence at the Royal Opera House, Welsh National Opera and Opera North. She regularly works for opera companies all over the world. She has performed widely as a solo artist, as well as collaborated with chamber ensembles, singers and with orchestra in France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Portugal and Israel. In New York, she has performed at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the New York Historical Society, the Museum of the City of New York and at the Metropolitan Opera Guild. She played for concert hosted by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and violinist Joshua Bell. She graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique of Paris, University Mozarteum in Salzburg, and Mannes College of Music in New York.
