Dr. Joan Thomson Kretschmer, Artistic Director and founder of the Lyric Chamber Music Society of New York, attended Smith College, graduated from Barnard College, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in musicology from Columbia University, where she was a Clarence Barker Fellow.....
In January of 2004, Reggie Bahl heard a moving and inspiring performance by a young but struggling chamber music group that would change the course of his life. After serious soul searching and with no knowledge of the industry, he began to familiarize himself with classical music. Soon after, he quit his lucrative marketing job in the shipping industry and incorporated his own artist management company, Manhattan Music Ensemble on Valentine’s Day, 2004.
Ambrose Madison Richardson is a transactional lawyer who litigates, and a litigator who does deals. His practice centers on business and property—real, personal, and intellectual. He was a principal of his own firm in Rockefeller Center for twenty-five years before teaming up with Solomon Blum Heymann in 2003. He is admitted to practice in New York.
An active philanthropist, Didi Schafer joined the Lyric Board in 2014. She is also on the Board New York Common Pantry, and The Central Park Conservancy. She and her husband, Oscar Schafer, are best known to city music lovers as proud sponsors of New York Philharmonic’s Concerts in the Park.

Delin was born in Cuba and moved to Spain after the Cuban Revolution. She is a classically-trained pianist who now supports numerous music organizations with her philanthropic activities. She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Itzhak Perlman music program and is currently on the Board of Trustees at Manhattan School of Music.
If they are not traveling the world, Delin and her husband, Abelardo Bru divide most of their family time between Longboat Key, Miami, Manhattan and Spain.
Richard Lubman. Richard is a private investor and retired Financial Analyst/Portfolio Manager. He has worked for various financial firms and also had a seat on the American Stock Exchange. Richard was formerly involved with the Chopin Foundation (USA). He and his wife, Terry divide their time between Connecticut and Florida. They have one son and two grandchildren.

Michele Pesner and has been a Lyric Board member since 2001. She and her husband, Steve Pesner are prominent supporters of numerous arts, dance and music organizations. Steve is a Senior Counsel at Friedman Kaplan.

Richard Alsop is partner in the Capital Markets Group at Shearman & Sterling LLP. He advises corporations and investment banks on a broad variety of capital markets work, including IPOs, convertible bonds and investment grade and high-yield bond transactions and is part of the Firm's corporate governance advisory team. He has more than 25 years of experience as a Corporate and Securities Law professional, and fifteen years of in house experience at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., including leading the Corporate Law group and serving as part of the legal department leadership team from 2003 to 2009.
